On May 12, 2016, the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) submitted an application to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) for an early site permit (ESP) for the Clinch River Nuclear Site located in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. A notice of receipt and availability of this application was published in the Federal Register on June 23, 2016. The TVA also provided supplemental information in support of the application to the NRC.

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) has issued a renewal of Facility Operating License No. R-95, held by the Rhode Island Atomic Energy Commission (RINSC or the licensee) for the continued operation of its Rhode Island Nuclear Science Center reactor for an additional 20 years from the date of issuance. The MURR facility is located in the University Research Park, adjacent to the main campus of the University of Missouri-Columbia, in Boone County, Columbia, Missouri.
