As part of its continuing effort to reduce paperwork burdens, as required by the Paperwork Reduction Act (PRA) of 1995, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC or the Commission) invites the general public and other Federal Agencies to take this opportunity to comment on the following information collection. Pursuant to the Small Business Paperwork Relief Act of 2002, the FCC seeks specific comment on how it might ``further reduce the information collection burden for small business concerns with fewer than 25 employees.'' The Commission may not conduct or sponsor a collection of information unless it displays a currently valid Office of Management and Budget (OMB) control number. No person shall be subject to any penalty for failing to comply with a collection of information subject to the PRA that does not display a valid OMB control number.

The purpose of this matching program is to verify the eligibility of applicants to and subscribers of the Emergency Broadband Benefit Program, which is administered by USAC under the direction of the FCC. 911 Fee Diversion; New and Emerging Technologies 911 Improvement Act of 2008

In this document, the Federal Communications Commission (the FCC or Commission) proposes rules to implement the Don't Break Up the T-Band Act of 2020, which is Section 902 of the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2021, Division FF, Title IX (Section 902). Section 902 directs the Commission to issue final rules, not later than 180 days after the date of enactment of Section 902, designating the uses of 911 fees by states and taxing jurisdictions that constitute 911 fee diversion for purposes of certain sections of the United States Code, as amended by Section 902. The intended effect of this notice of proposed rulemaking (NPRM) is to propose rules that implement Section 902 and help to identify those uses of 911 fees by states and other jurisdictions that support the provision of 911 services.
