No. 7761-88-8) when used as an inert ingredient under 40 CFR 180.910 as stabilizer at a maximum of 0.06% by weight in pesticide formulations as post-harvest treatment for potatoes to control sprouting. Wagner Regulatory Associates on behalf of Pimi Agro CleanTech, Ltd. submitted a petition to EPA under the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (FFDCA), requesting establishment of an exemption from the requirement of a tolerance.
