A probationary term of full-time employment under an annual contract for three years in the same school division is required before a teacher is issued a continuing contract. Once continuing contract status has been attained in a school division in the Commonwealth, another probationary period as a teacher need not be served in any other school division unless a probationary period not exceeding two years is made a part of the contract of employment.
