SUMMARY: This Chapter requires registration of all new and existing underground petroleum tanks. It establishes standards for installation of new facilities, and for the operation, maintenance and closure of all types of underground oil storage facilities. This Chapter also outlines requirements for reporting and investigating evidence of a possible leak and cleanup of leaks, discharges or other oil pollution at underground storage facilities, certain wastewater treatment units, and certain aboveground oil storage tanks associated with field constructed underground oil storage tanks or airport hydrant systems and aboveground tanks with underground piping.
