The massage therapist or massage practitioner will provide treatment only when there is a reasonable expectation that it will be advantageous to the patient/client. The therapist or practitioner will acknowledge the limitations, precautions, and the contraindications of their practice, and will refer patients/clients to other licensed health care professionals when the patient/client needs are outside the therapist or practitioner's scope of practice.
