Section 2-8 - Indiana department of health; duties

Sec. 8.

The Indiana department of health shall:

(1) receive reports of endangered adults who are residents of facilities licensed under IC 16-28 from DDARS and the APS units;

(2) refer appropriate cases (as defined by the Indiana department of health) to DDARS or the APS units for investigation, assessment and to assure the provision of protective services; and

(3) send completed report forms for all reports of endangered adults, whether substantiated or unsubstantiated, and whether primarily reported to the Indiana department of health, DDARS or the APS units to DDARS for statistical and substantive records.
