3 AAC 49.070 - Disposition of ballots, election materials

The commission will preserve all election certificates, tallies, registers or lists, and election materials for four years after the election conducted under AS 42.05.712. All ballots and return-addressed envelopes will, in the commission's discretion, be destroyed 30 days after the certification of the election results unless an application for recount has been filed and not completed, or unless their destruction is stayed by court order. The commission will, in its discretion, permit the inspection of election materials upon order of a court of competent jurisdiction.
