3 AAC 14.220 - Continuing education requirement for mortgage loan originator licensee

(a) A mortgage loan originator licensee shall complete the continuing education required under AS 06.60.160 during the annual license period before license renewal or reactivation. Continuing education obtained in excess of the annual requirement under AS 06.60.160 may not be carried over to meet the continuing education requirement for the following year.

(b) The department may suspend or terminate the license, and will deny renewal or reactivation of the license, of a mortgage loan originator licensee who fails to complete the continuing education required under AS 06.60.160 or whose certification or other documentation of continuing education is not timely submitted to the department through the registry. If the department denies renewal of, suspends, or terminates a mortgage loan originator license for failure to complete or report continuing education, a person may not obtain a new or reinstated mortgage loan originator license without first satisfying the applicable continuing education requirement.
