This document provides notice that U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has issued a final determination concerning the country of origin of three vehicle tracking devices, a satellite device, a near field communication (NFC) reader, and an NFC keyring fob. Based upon the facts presented, CBP has concluded that the country of origin of the three vehicle tracking devices, the satellite device, and the NFC reader is Canada for purposes of U.S. Government procurement. The country of origin of the NFC keyring fob will be determined by the country of origin of the contactless integrated circuit (IC), which is usually Taiwan, but if unavailable, then either Thailand or Singapore will be the source country and the country of origin for purposes of U.S. Government procurement.
