Privacy Act of 1974, Computer Matching Program-United States Postal Service and the Defense Manpower Data Center, Department of Defense
The United States Postal Service[supreg] (USPS[supreg]) plans to continue to participate as a recipient agency in a computer matching program with the Defense Manpower Data Center (DMDC), Department of Defense (DoD) as the source agency. The purpose of this program, and associated computer matching agreement (Agreement), is to enable the DMDC to determine whether members of the Ready Reserve, Standby Reserve, or the Retired Reserve of the Armed Forces of the United States are eligible for the TRICARE Reserve Select Program (TRS) or TRICARE Retired Reserve Program (TRR). Specifically, this program is intended to identify TRS and TRR recipients who are eligible for, or who are receiving, health coverage under Federal Employee Health Benefits (FEHB), and on the basis of these findings and subsequent investigation, to terminate TRS and TRR benefits if appropriate.
