The U.S. Office of Government Ethics (OGE) is hosting a public meeting to obtain input from interested parties regarding potential improvements to the OGE Form 278e and the OGE Form 450 as part of a form revision planning process that will precede the next requested renewal of these forms under the Paperwork Reduction Act. The next scheduled renewal is in 2024; however, OGE may decide to make changes earlier.

After this first round notice and public comment period, the U.S. Office of Government Ethics (OGE) plans to submit a proposed modified OGE Form 201, Request an Individual's Ethics Documents (OGE Form 201) to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) for review and approval of a three-year extension under the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995. The OGE Form 201 is used by persons requesting access to executive branch public financial disclosure reports and other covered records.

After this second round notice and public comment period, the U.S. Office of Government Ethics (OGE) intends to submit modified versions of the 12 OGE model certificates and model documents for qualified trusts to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) for review and approval under the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995. After this first round notice and public comment period, the Office of Government Ethics (OGE) plans to request that the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) renew its approval under the Paperwork Reduction Act for an existing information collection, entitled the OGE Form 319 Request for a Medical Exception to the Covid-19 Vaccination Requirement. The form was originally granted emergency clearance on November 19, 2021.
2022 Civil Monetary Penalties Inflation Adjustments for Ethics in Government Act Violations
In accordance with the Federal Civil Penalties Inflation Adjustment Act Improvements Act of 2015, the U.S. Office of Government Ethics is issuing this final rule to make the 2022 annual adjustments to the Ethics in Government Act civil monetary penalties.
