Geologic and Geotechnical Site Characterization Investigations for Nuclear Power Plants
The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is issuing Revision 3 to Regulatory Guide (RG) 1.132, ``Geologic and Geotechnical Site Characterization Investigations for Nuclear Power Plants.'' It provides guidance on field investigations for determining the geologic, geotechnical, geophysical, and hydrogeologic characteristics of a prospective site for engineering analysis and design of nuclear power plants.
List of Approved Spent Fuel Storage Casks: TN Americas LLC, TN-32 Dry Storage Cask, Certificate of Compliance No. 1021, Renewal of Initial Certificate and Amendment No. 1
The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is confirming the effective date of January 19, 2022, for the direct final rule that was published in the Federal Register on November 5, 2021. This direct final rule amended the TN Americas LLC, TN-32 Dry Storage Cask listing in the ``List of approved spent fuel storage casks'' to renew, for an additional 40 years, the initial certificate and Amendment No. 1 of Certificate of Compliance No. 1021.
