NASA is amending the clause at NASA FAR Supplement (NFS) 1852.204-76, Security Requirements for Unclassified Information Technology Resources, to reflect the updated requirements of NASA Procedural Requirements (NPR) 2810, ``Security of Information Technology''. The NPR was recently revised to address increasing cyber threats and to ensure consistency with the Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA), which requires agencies to protect information and information systems in a manner that is commensurate with the sensitivity of the information processed, transmitted, or stored.
