HRSA is seeking nominations of qualified candidates to be considered for appointment as members of the Advisory Committee on Heritable Disorders in Newborns and Children (ACHDNC or Committee). The Committee provides advice, recommendations, and technical information about aspects of heritable disorders and newborn and childhood screening to the Secretary of HHS (Secretary). HRSA is seeking nominations of qualified candidates for appointment to five positions on the Committee for terms of up to 4 years.

Specifically, HRSA requests submissions of nominations of qualified tribal officials from the Indian Health Service (IHS) geographic areas of: Alaska; Albuquerque; Billings; Navajo; Phoenix; and Tucson. Nominations for membership must be received on or before September 30, 2020. This will allow tribes and tribal serving organizations from the IHS geographic areas noted above, the additional time needed to identify qualified tribal officials as candidates and submit comprehensive nomination packages.

HRSA announces the award of a supplement for $3,500,000 to the University of Mississippi Medical Center for the Early Childhood Developmental Health System: Implementation in a High Need State program. The supplement will add another year of funding to the current recipient, during the period of September 30, 2020-September 29, 2021, to continue a study focused on improving child health through a statewide system of early childhood developmental screenings and interventions.

In accordance with the Federal Advisory Committee Act, HHS is hereby giving notice that the Advisory Commission on Childhood Vaccines (ACCV) charter has been renewed. The effective date of the renewed charter is July 20, 2020.

Pursuant to its authority under Federal regulations for the National Practitioner Data Bank (NPDB), HRSA's Division of Practitioner Data Bank announces a continuation of its temporary waiver of user fees for NPDB queries from March 1, 2020, through September 30, 2020, to support our eligible entities in making credentialing, hiring, privileging, and licensing decisions in combatting the COVID-19 pandemic. The waiver includes all one-time queries and continuous queries during the waiver time period. Fees for self-queries will not be waived. The NPDB is a confidential information clearinghouse created by Congress and is intended to facilitate a comprehensive review of the professional credentials of health care practitioners, entities, providers, and suppliers. In response to President Trump's declaration of a national emergency and associated emergency declarations by all states, the Federal Government, state governments, and many health care entities have taken unprecedented steps regarding licensure portability and the deployment of health workforce resources, including the expansion of telemedicine and granting of disaster privileges. HRSA's NPDB is in a unique position to temporarily waive fees, granting NPDB access to the nation's hospitals, health centers, health plans, state licensing boards, Federal agencies, and other eligible health care entities in support of their efforts to mobilize and appropriately deploy health workforce professionals.

HRSA announces the award of a supplemental award of approximately $330,000 per year to the Education Development Center (EDC) for the Home Visiting Collaborative Improvement and Innovation Network 2.0 (HV CoIIN 2.0) for fiscal years (FY) 2020, 2021 and 2022. The supplement will allow the recipient to build a continuous quality improvement (CQI) health equity framework for the Maternal, Infant and Early Childhood Home Visiting Program (MIECHV).

HRSA announces the award of supplemental funding of approximately $7,000,000 to the Zero to Three National Center for Infant, Toddler and Families, Inc. Cooperative Agreement for the Infant-Toddler Court Program (ITCP). The supplemental funding will allow the current recipient, during the period of September 30, 2020- September 29, 2021, to continue to improve the health, safety, well- being and development of infants, toddlers, and families in the child welfare system.
