Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC): 2020/2021 Income Eligibility Guidelines
The U.S. Department of Agriculture (``Department'') announces adjusted income eligibility guidelines to be used by State agencies in determining the income eligibility of persons applying to participate in the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC). These income eligibility guidelines are to be used in conjunction with the WIC Regulations.
Emergency Food Assistance Program; Availability of Foods for Fiscal Year 2020
This notice announces the surplus and purchased foods that the Department expects to make available for donation to States for use in providing nutrition assistance to the needy under The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) in Fiscal Year (FY) 2020. The foods made available under this notice must, at the discretion of the State, be distributed to eligible recipient agencies (ERAs) for use in preparing meals and/or for distribution to households for home consumption.
Employment and Training Opportunities in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program; Extension of Comment Period
The Department of Agriculture's Food and Nutrition Service (FNS) is extending the public comment period on the proposed rule titled, ``Employment and Training Opportunities in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program'', which was published in the Federal Register on March 17, 2020. This action extends the deadline for receipt of public comments to give the public additional time to review the proposed rule.
Agency Information Collection Activities: Proposed Collection; Comment Request-User Access Request Form FNS-674
In accordance with the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995, this notice invites the general public and other public agencies to comment on the proposed information collection. This is a revision of a currently approved collection. The purpose of this information collection request is to continue the use of the electronic form FNS- 674, titled ``User Access Request Form.'' This form will continue to allow access to current FNS systems, modified access or to remove user access.
Agency Information Collection Activities: Proposed Collection; Comment Request-School Food Purchase Study IV
In accordance with the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995, this notice invites the general public and other public agencies to comment on this proposed information collection. This collection is a request for reinstatement with changes of a previously approved information collection under OMB Control Number 0584-0471, which expired on March 21, 2012. This is the fourth in a series of studies designed to provide statistically valid national estimates of food acquisitions (both purchased foods and USDA Foods) made by school food authorities (SFAs) participating in the Federally supported school nutrition programs.
Agency Information Collection Activities: School Meals Operations Study: Evaluation of the School-Based Child Nutrition Programs
In accordance with the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995, this notice invites the general public and other public agencies to comment on this proposed information collection. This collection is a revision of a currently approved collection for the School Meals Operations (SMO) Study's continuation of the Child Nutrition Program Operations Study II (CN-OPS II, OMB control number 0584-0607) information collection with updated survey instruments beginning in school year (SY) 2020-2021. This study will collect supplemental administrative data, including data on the CN COVID-19 waivers.
Agency Information Collection Activities: Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)-Waiver Requests To Offer Incentives to SNAP Recipients at SNAP Authorized Stores
In accordance with the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995, this notice invites the general public and other public agencies to comment on this proposed information collection. This is an existing collection in use without an OMB Control Number in which we are seeking approval to establish a process for SNAP authorized retailers to request a waiver from the Food and Nutrition Service (FNS) to offer SNAP recipients incentives that encourage them to purchase healthier foods. This collection burden only affects SNAP retailers and non-profit organizations or governmental entities who partner with SNAP-authorized stores. There is no data collection activities for SNAP households in this request.
