Filing Dates for the Florida Special Elections in the 19th Congressional District
Florida has scheduled special elections on April 22, 2014, and June 24, 2014, to fill the U.S. House of Representatives seat vacated by Representative Trey Radel. Committees required to file reports in connection with the Special Primary Election on April 22, 2014, shall file a 12-day Pre-Primary Report. Committees required to file reports in connection with both the Special Primary and the Special General Election on June 24, 2014, shall file a 12-day Pre-Primary Report, 12-day Pre-General Report and a Post-General Report.
Filing Dates for the Oklahoma Senate Special Elections
Oklahoma has scheduled special elections to fill the U.S. Senate seat being vacated by Senator Tom Coburn. There are three possible special elections, but only two may be necessary. Primary Election: June 24, 2014. Possible Runoff Election: August 26, 2014. In the event that one candidate does not achieve more than 50% of the vote in his/ her party's Special Primary Election, the top two vote-getters participate in a Special Runoff Election. General Election: November 4, 2014.
Price Index Adjustments for Expenditure Limitations and Lobbyist Bundling Disclosure Threshold
As mandated by provisions of the Federal Election Campaign Act of 1971, as amended (``FECA'' or ``the Act''), the Federal Election Commission (``FEC'' or ``the Commission'') is adjusting certain expenditure limitations and the lobbyist bundling disclosure threshold set forth in the Act, to index the amounts for inflation.
