Adequacy Status of the New Jersey Portion of the New York-Northern New Jersey-Long Island and Pennsylvania-Delaware Areas Submitted PM2.5 Limited Maintenance Plan, 2006 24 Hour PM2.5 Maintenance Area
In this notice, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is notifying the public that we have found that the Limited Maintenance Plan for PM2.5 for the New Jersey portion of the New York- Northern New Jersey-Long Island, NNJ-NY-CT, and Philadelphia- Wilmington, PA-NJ-DE, PM2.5 maintenance areas, submitted by the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection on July 6, 2023, is adequate for transportation conformity purposes. This revision to the State Implementation Plan is associated with the second ten-year PM2.5 Limited Maintenance Plan.
Approval of Source-Specific Air Quality Implementation Plan; New York; Sylvamo Ticonderoga Mill
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is proposing to approve a revision to the State of New York's State Implementation Plan (SIP) for the ozone National Ambient Air Quality Standard (NAAQS) related to a Source-specific SIP (SSSIP) revision for the Sylvamo Ticonderoga Mill (formerly known as International Paper), located at 568 Shore Airport Rd., Ticonderoga, New York (the Facility). The EPA is proposing to find that the control options in this SSSIP revision implement Reasonably Available Control Technology (RACT) with respect to nitrogen oxide (NOX) emissions from the relevant Facility sources, which are identified as one power boiler, one lime kiln, and one recovery furnace. This SSSIP revision is intended to implement NOX RACT for the relevant Facility sources in accordance with the requirements for implementation of the 2008 and 2015 ozone NAAQS. This proposed action will not interfere with ozone NAAQS requirements and meets all applicable requirements of the Clean Air Act (CAA).
Pesticide Product Registration; Receipt of Applications for New Uses-April 2024
EPA has received applications to register new uses for pesticide products containing currently registered active ingredients. Pursuant to the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA), EPA is hereby providing notice of receipt and opportunity to comment on these applications.
