Medical Review Board Public Meeting
FMCSA announces that the MRB will hold its next meeting on October 15, 2007. The meeting will provide the public an opportunity to observe and participate in MRB deliberations about the revision and development of Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulation (FMCSR) medical standards, in accordance with the Federal Advisory Committee Act (FACA).
Motor Carrier Safety Advisory Committee Public Meeting
FMCSA announces that the Motor Carrier Safety Advisory Committee (MCSAC) will hold a committee meeting. The meeting is open to the public. Establishment of the advisory committee was announced in the Federal Register (71 FR 67200), on November 20, 2006.
Qualification of Drivers; Exemption Applications; Diabetes
FMCSA announces receipt of applications from 52 individuals for exemptions from the prohibition against persons with insulin- treated diabetes mellitus (ITDM) operating commercial motor vehicles (CMVs) in interstate commerce. If granted, the exemptions would enable these individuals with ITDM to operate commercial motor vehicles in interstate commerce.
