The FHWA, on behalf of FDOT, is issuing this notice to announce actions taken by FDOT and other Federal Agencies that are final agency actions. These actions relate to the proposed Cortez Bridge improvement project on State Road (S.R.) 684 from S.R. 789 (Gulf Drive) in Bradenton Beach, Florida to 123rd Street West in unincorporated Manatee County, Florida (Federal-Aid Project Number 8886-227-A). These actions grant licenses, permits, and approvals for the project.

The FHWA is issuing this notice to advise the public that it is preparing an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) for the Allston Multimodal Project sponsored by the Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT). MassDOT proposes to address roadway deficiencies of Interstate 90 in Allston, Massachusetts. The proposed project takes into consideration current transportation deficiencies, current and future transportation facility safety, multimodal mobility, and access to the Charles River Reservation within the project area.

Pedestrian and Bicycle Accommodations and Projects; Removal of Obsolete Regulation

Through this final rule FHWA will remove a regulation that has been superseded by legislation. We are removing sections related to pedestrian and bicycle accommodations and projects. The regulation is no longer necessary, given revisions to applicable provisions of title 23, United States Code (U.S.C.).
