Revision of Form FHWA-1273
The FHWA is requesting comments on a proposed revision of form FHWA-1273``Required Contract Provisions Federal-Aid Construction Contracts.'' This form includes certain contract provisions that are required on all Federal-aid construction projects. The revisions are necessary to provide consistency with the current policies of the FHWA and other Federal agencies.
Environmental Impact Statement: Pennington County, SD
The FHWA is issuing this notice to advise the public that an Environmental Impact Statement will be prepared for proposed road improvements on South Rochford Road in Pennington County, South Dakota.
Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement, Mingo County, WV
The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) and the United States Department of the Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) in cooperation with the West Virginia Division of Highways (WVDOH) will prepare a Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement (SEIS) to evaluate the impacts of the proposed Delbarton to Belo portion of the King Coal Highway 2000 FEIS and the Buffalo Mountain Surface Mine Clean Water Act Section 404 Permit Application. The FHWA and USACE are joint-lead federal agencies on this project and are evaluating federal actions. FHWA is evaluating a location shift of a portion of the alignment between the West Virginia towns of Delbarton and Belo described in the 2000 FEIS and approved in the 2000 ROD. The USACE is evaluating a Clean Water Act (CWA) Section 404 Individual Permit (IP) application submitted by Consol of Kentucky, Inc. (CONSOL), for the discharge of fill material into waters of the United States (U.S.) in conjunction with the construction and operation of the Buffalo Mountain Surface Mine.
Notice of Availability of the Draft Program Environmental Impact Report (PEIR): Southern California Association of Governments (SCAG)
The Southern California Association of Governments (SCAG) has prepared a Draft Program Environmental Impact Report (PEIR), SCH 2011051018, in accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act for the 2012-2035 Regional Transportation Plan and Sustainable Communities Strategy (2012-2035 RTP/SCS, Plan or Project). Please find attached the Notice of Availability of this Draft PEIR for the 2012-2035 RTP/SCS.
Emergency Temporary Closure of the I-64 Sherman-Minton Bridge Over the Ohio River Between Indiana and Kentucky
The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) has approved the request from the Indiana Department of Transportation to continue temporary closure of the I-64 Sherman-Minton Bridge over the Ohio River between Indiana and Kentucky for an indefinite period of time due to safety considerations. The approval is granted as an emergency deletion in accordance with section 658.11(e) due to the safety considerations discussed in this notice. The FHWA published a Notice and Request for Comment on October 27, 2011, at 76 FR 66775, seeking comments on the alternate routes selected by Indiana due to the deletion in accordance with section 658.11(e). No comments were received.
Cancellation of Environmental Impact Statement in Orange County, NC
In Vol. 70, No. 113/Tuesday, June 14, 2005/Notices, FHWA issued a Notice of Intent to advise the public that an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) would be prepared for the proposed Elizabeth Brady Road Extension between US 70 Business and US 70 Bypass in Orange County, North Carolina. The project is now cancelled; therefore, no further project activities will occur.

Notice of Final Federal Agency Action on Proposed Bridge Replacement in Massachusetts
This notice announces action taken by the FHWA that is final within the meaning of 23 U.S.C. 39(l)(1). The action relates to the proposed Fore River Bridge (State Route 3A over the Weymouth Fore River) replacement project in Quincy and Weymouth, Massachusetts. The action grants an approval for the project.
Environmental Impact Statement: Erie County, NY
FHWA is issuing this rescinded notice to advise the public that FHWA will not be preparing and issuing a Final Environmental Impact Statement for the proposed Peace Bridge Expansion Project in the city of Buffalo, Erie County, New York and the town of Fort Erie, Ontario Canada (NYSDOT Project Identification Number: 5753.58). The Peace Bridge Expansion Project (project) is a proposal for operational improvements at the Peace Bridge crossing between the United States and Canada. A notice of intent to prepare an EIS was published in the Federal Register on October 9, 2001.
