Certain Transfers of Property to Regulated Investment Companies [RICs] and Real Estate Investment Trusts [REITs]; Correction
This document contains a correction to final and temporary regulations (TD 9770) that were published in the Federal Register on June 8, 2016 (81 FR 36793). The final and temporary regulations effect the repeal of the General Utilities doctrine by the Tax Reform Act of 1986 and prevent abuse of the Protecting Americans from Tax Hikes Act of 2015. The temporary regulations impose corporate level tax on certain transactions in which property of a C corporation becomes the property of a REIT.
Proposed Collection of Information: Accountable Official Application Form for U.S. Department of the Treasury Stored Value Card (SVC) Program
The Department of the Treasury, as part of its continuing effort to reduce paperwork and respondent burden, invites the general public and other Federal agencies to take this opportunity to comment on a continuing information collection, as required by the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995, Public Law 104-13 (44 U.S.C. 3506(c)(2)(A)). Currently the Bureau of the Fiscal Service within the Department of the Treasury is soliciting comments concerning the Accountable Official Application Form for U.S. Department of the Treasury Stored Value Card (SVC) Program.
