Notice of Proposed Withdrawal; Scheduled Public Meeting; Colorado
The Secretary of Agriculture has filed an application requesting the Secretary of the Interior to withdraw approximately 14,919 acres of National Forest System lands in Douglas, Teller, Park, and Jefferson Counties, Colorado. This notice segregates the lands from location and entry under the U.S. Mining Laws for up to 2 years. This notice also establishes the time and place of the public meeting.
Notice of Availability of the Draft Resource Management Plan and Environmental Impact Statement (DRMP/EIS) for the Upper Missouri River Breaks National Monument, MT
In accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969 and under the authority of the Federal Land Policy and Management Act of 1976, the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) has prepared a Draft Resource Management Plan and Environmental Impact Statement (DRMP/EIS) for public land and resources in the Upper Missouri River Breaks National Monument, Montana. BLM invites the public to review and comment on the range and adequacy of the draft alternatives and their associated environmental effects. The DRMP/EIS provides direction and guidance for the management of about 375,000 acres of public land and 42,800 acres of existing oil and gas leases.
Notice of Proposed Withdrawal and Transfer of Jurisdiction; Colorado
The U.S. Department of Energy has filed an application requesting the Secretary of the Interior to withdraw from surface entry and mining and transfer jurisdiction of 160 acres of public land in Moffat County, Colorado, to be utilized as a uranium mill tailings disposal site. This notice segregates the land for a period of 2 years from surface entry and mining.
