The Minerals Management Service (MMS) has issued a Record of Decision for OCS Western GOM Lease Sale 204 (August 2007). As part of the decision process, MMS published in April 2007 a final environmental impact statement (EIS) on the 2007-2012 Western and Central GOM oil and gas leasing proposals, including Sale 204. In preparing this decision, MMS has considered alternatives to the proposed actions, the impacts of Sale 204 as presented in the EIS, and all comments received throughout the EIS-process. We (Fish and Wildlife Service) have sent an Information Collection Request (ICR) to OMB for review and approval. The ICR, which is summarized below, describes the nature of the collection and the estimated burden and cost. This information collection is scheduled to expire on July 31, 2007. We may not conduct or sponsor and a person is not required to respond to a collection of information unless it displays a currently valid OMB control number. However, under OMB regulations, we may continue to conduct or sponsor this information collection while it is pending at OMB.
