Exchange Visitor Program-Au Pairs; Extension of Comment Period
On October 30, 2023, the U.S. Department of State (Department of State) published a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking for the Exchange Visitor ProgramAu pair category. The Notice of Proposed Rulemaking provided a deadline for submitting comments by December 29, 2023. The Department of State received a request from the Alliance for International Exchange seeking an extension of the public comment period. The Department of State has reviewed this request and is announcing an extension of the public comment period for 30 days to allow public comments to be submitted on or before January 28, 2024.
Action: Notice of an Opportunity To Apply for Membership on the Advisory Committee on Responsible Business Conduct
The Department of State is seeking applications for membership for the 2023-2025 term of the Advisory Committee on Responsible Business Conduct (the ``Committee''). The purpose of the Committee is to bring to the U.S. government a source of expertise, knowledge, and insight not available within the Department or elsewhere in the government on issues related to responsible business conduct (RBC), including business and human rights (BHR).
U.S. Advisory Commission on Public Diplomacy; Meeting
The U.S. Advisory Commission on Public Diplomacy (ACPD) will hold an in-person public meeting with online (Zoom) access. The meeting will focus on the integration of diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility (DEIA) principles into U.S. government public diplomacy programming abroad, based on a forthcoming ACPD special report titled ``Public Diplomacy and DEIA Promotion: Telling America's Story to the World.'' A panel of experts will discuss the opportunities and challenges associated with engaging global audiences on these important issues. This meeting is open to the public, including the media and members and staff of governmental and non-governmental organizations.

Request for Information for the 2024 Trafficking in Persons Report
The Department of State (``the Department'') requests written information to assist in reporting on the degree to which the United States and foreign governments meet the minimum standards for the elimination of trafficking in persons (``minimum standards'') that are prescribed by the Trafficking Victims Protection Act of 2000, as amended (``TVPA''). This information will assist in the preparation of the Trafficking in Persons Report (``TIP Report'') that the Department submits annually to the U.S. Congress on governments' concrete actions to meet the minimum standards. Foreign governments that do not meet the minimum standards and are not making significant efforts to do so may be subject to restrictions on nonhumanitarian, nontrade-related foreign assistance from the United States, as defined by the TVPA. Submissions must be made in writing to the Office to Monitor and Combat Trafficking in Persons at the Department of State by February 1, 2024. Please refer to the ADDRESSES, Scope of Interest, and Information Sought sections of this Notice for additional instructions on submission requirements.

A meeting of the Department of State's Advisory Committee on International Law (``ACIL'') will take place on December 1, 2023, from 9 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. Acting Legal Adviser Richard C. Visek will chair the meeting, which will be open to the public up to the capacity of the meeting room. The meeting will include discussions on international law topics.
