The U.S. Department of State (Department) is advising the public that on January 3, 2018, the Department approved a Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) based on the Final Environmental Assessment (Final EA) for the Borrego Pipeline Presidential Permit Application.
Notice of Determinations; Culturally Significant Objects Imported for Exhibition Determinations: “Romance and Reason: Islamic Transformations of the Classical Past” Exhibition
Notice is hereby given of the following determinations: I hereby determine that certain objects to be included in the exhibition ``Romance and Reason: Islamic Transformations of the Classical Past,'' imported from abroad for temporary exhibition within the United States, are of cultural significance. The objects are imported pursuant to a loan agreement with the foreign owner or custodian. I also determine that the exhibition or display of the exhibit objects at the Institute for the Study of the Ancient World, New York, New York, from on or about February 14, 2018, until on or about May 13, 2018, and at possible additional exhibitions or venues yet to be determined, is in the national interest.
