The Educational Information and Resources Branch of the Office of Global Educational Programs in the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs announces an open competition for the U.S. Professional Development Program for EducationUSA Advisers in Fiscal Year 2011. Public and private non-profit organizations meeting the provisions described in Internal Revenue Code Section 26 USC 501(c)(3) may submit proposals to cooperate with the Bureau in the administration of this program, which will focus on short-term professional development in the United States for EducationUSA advisers.
Biennial Review of the Progress of Cooperation Under the United States-Singapore Memorandum of Intent on Cooperation in Environmental Matters and Suggestions for 2011-2012 U.S.-Singapore Plan of Action for Environmental Cooperation
The Department of State is providing notice that the United States and Singapore intend to hold a Biennial Review of the progress of cooperation under the U.S.-Singapore Memorandum of Intent on Cooperation on Environmental Matters (MOI) in Washington, DC, on May 13, 2010. This biennial meeting to review the status of cooperation is consistent with the intent of the two Governments as set forth in Section 3 of the MOI. A public information session will be held on May 13th, at 1:30 p.m., in room 1105 at the U.S. Department of State, 2201 C Street, NW., Washington, DC 20520. Culturally Significant Objects Imported for Exhibition Determinations: “Tiffany: Color and Light”
Notice is hereby given of the following determinations: Pursuant to the authority vested in me by the Act of October 19, 1965 (79 Stat. 985; 22 U.S.C. 2459), Executive Order 12047 of March 27, 1978, the Foreign Affairs Reform and Restructuring Act of 1998 (112 Stat. 2681, et seq.; 22 U.S.C. 6501 note, et seq.), Delegation of Authority No. 234 of October 1, 1999, Delegation of Authority No. 236 of October 19, 1999, as amended, and Delegation of Authority No. 257 of April 15, 2003 [68 FR 19875], I hereby determine that the object to be included in the exhibition ``Tiffany: Color and Light,'' imported from abroad for temporary exhibition within the United States, is of cultural significance. The object is imported pursuant to a loan agreement with the foreign owner or custodian. I also determine that the exhibition or display of the exhibit object at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, Richmond, VA, from on or about May 29, 2010, until on or about August 15, 2010, and at possible additional exhibitions or venues yet to be determined, is in the national interest. I have ordered that Public Notice of these Determinations be published in the Federal Register.
