Technical Corrections to Exemptions From Certain Prohibited Transaction Restrictions
On December 29, 2017 the Department of Labor (the Department) published notices of exemptions in the Federal Register granting relief from certain of the prohibited transaction restrictions of the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 (ERISA or the Act) and/or the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 (the Code). Vehicle-Mounted Elevating and Rotating Work Platforms (Aerial Lifts); Extension of the Office of Management and Budget's (OMB) Approval of Information Collection (Paperwork) Requirements
OSHA solicits public comments concerning its proposal to extend OMB approval of the information collection requirements contained in the Standard on Vehicle-Mounted Elevating and Rotating Work Platforms (Aerial Lifts). The purpose of the requirements is to reduce workers' risk of death or serious injury by ensuring that aerial lifts are in safe operating condition.
