Electrical Standards for Construction and General Industry; Extension of the Office of Managaement and Budget's (OMB) Approval of the Information-Collection (Paperwork) Requirements
OSHA solicits comments concerning its request for an extension of the information-collection requirements contained in the Electrical Standards for Construction (29 CFR part 1926, subpart K) and for General Industry (29 CFR part 1910, subpart S).
Agency Information Collection Activities; Announcement of Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Control Numbers Under the Paperwork Reduction Act
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) announces that OMB has extended its approval for a number of information collection requirements found in sections of 29 CFR parts 1910 and 1926. OSHA sought approval under the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995 (PRA-95), and, as required by that Act, is announcing the approval numbers and expiration dates for those requirements.
Proposed Collection; Comment Request
The Department of Labor, as part of its continuing effort to reduce paperwork and respondent burden, conducts a preclearance consultation program to provide the general public and Federal agencies with an opportunity to comment on proposed and/or continuing collections of information in accordance with the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995 (PRA95) [44 U.S.C. 3506(c)(2)(A)]. This program helps to ensure that requested data can be provided in the desired format, reporting burden (time and financial resources) is minimized, collection instruments are clearly understood, and the impact of collection requirements on respondents can be properly assessed. Currently, the Employment Standards Administration is soliciting comments concerning the proposed collection: Application for Authority to Employ Full-Time Students at Subminimum Wages in Retail/Service Establishments or Agriculture (WH-200 and WH-202). Notice of Signing of a Memorandum of Understanding Between the Departments of Justice and Labor Relating to the Investigation and Prosecution of Crimes and Civil Enforcement Actions Under the Labor-Management Reporting and Disclosure Act of 1959
The Department of Labor, Employment Standards Administration, is providing notice of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Departments of Justice and Labor (MOU), signed January 18, 2005. The MOU describes the responsibilities of each agency in the performance of functions under the Labor-Management Reporting and Disclosure Act of 1959 (Act). The purpose of the MOU is to revise a previous Memorandum of Understanding Between the Departments of Justice and Labor (1960 Memorandum of Understanding) concerning the allocation of such responsibilities. The MOU enhances administrative efficiency in the investigation and prosecution of crimes and civil violations arising under the Act. A copy of the MOU is set forth below.
