The Office of Justice Programs (OJP) published a notice in the Federal Register on July 2, 2012, announcing a meeting of the Attorney General's National Task Force on Children Exposed to Violence (the ``task force''). As that notice stated, the final agenda was still being developed at the time of the July 2, 2012, notice. The purpose of this notice is to announce that the task force will not hold a public meeting on July 24th and 25th, but rather, will be conducting preparatory work related to developing a draft report to the Attorney General. OJP will provide notice of future public meetings of the task force as they are scheduled.

Work under this cooperative agreement is part of a larger NIC initiative, Evidence-Based Decision Making (EBDM) in Local Criminal Justice Systems. Work under this cooperative agreement will be coordinated with awardees of other cooperative agreements who will be providing services under Phase III of this initiative. Specifically, under this cooperative agreement, the awardee will provide technical assistance to seven Phase III sites that have already been identified. During Phase II of the EBDM initiative, the seven sites identified change strategies based on their individual system planning activities. These change strategies are critical to meeting their system's harm reduction goals. The technical assistance from this award will be targeted to the identified change strategies.

Pursuant to the Privacy Act of 1974 (5 U.S.C. 552a), the United States Department of Justice (DOJ), Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), proposes to establish a new system of records entitled, the FBI Data Warehouse System, JUSTICE/FBI-022, to cover all FBI data warehouses that have been or are created to manage the information necessary to carry out FBI's national security and criminal justice missions. The FBI is also deleting its Data Integration and Visualization System, JUSTICE/FBI-021, last published at 75 FR 53262 (Aug. 31, 2010), and modified at 75 FR 66131 (Oct. 27, 2010) because this new system duplicates it.

To be considered, applicants must demonstrate, at a minimum, in-depth knowledge of (1) evidence-based, gender-responsive research and knowledge and practice in the policy, programming, and operation of women's jails, prisons, and community supervision agencies; (2) the preparation needed for the delivery of a blended-learning curriculum to correctional audiences and related stakeholders; (3) specific examples of expertise in directing implementation of similar projects in which blended learning was used; and (4) working collaboratively with correctional leadership and related stakeholders.

The task force is chartered to provide OJP, a component of the Department of Justice, with valuable advice in the areas of children exposed to violence for the purpose of addressing the epidemic levels of exposure to violence faced by our nation's children. Based on the testimony at four public hearings; comprehensive research; and extensive input from experts, advocates, and impacted families and communities nationwide, the task force will issue a final report to the Attorney General presenting its findings and comprehensive policy recommendations in the fall of 2012.
