Notice of Submission of Proposed Information Collection to OMB Certification and Funding of State and Local Fair Housing Enforcement Agencies
The proposed information collection requirement described below has been submitted to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) for review, as required by the Paperwork Reduction Act. The Department is soliciting public comments on the subject proposal. State and local fair housing agencies apply for equivalency status with the Fair Housing Act. Cooperative agreements provide support in Fair Housing enforcement. This proposed rule revises the funding criteria for agencies participating in the Fair Housing Assistance Program (FHAP).

The information collected is needed by Ginnie Mae for the participation of issuers/customers in its Mortgage-Backed Securities programs and to monitor performance and compliance with established rules and regulations.
