In this notice, the Assistant Secretary for Community Planning and Development redelegates to the Community Planning and Development Field Directors the authority necessary to implement the Homelessness Prevention and Rapid Re-Housing Program (HPRP), which was established under the Homelessness Prevention Fund heading of Division A, Title XII of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009.

HUD announces the availability on its website of the applicant information, submission deadlines, funding criteria and other requirements for HUD's Resident Opportunity and Self-Sufficiency (ROSS)Service Coordinators Program NOFA for FY 2009. Approximately $28 million is made available through this NOFA, by the Department of Housing and Urban Development Appropriations Act, 2009 (Pub. L. 111-8, approved March 11, 2009), plus any carryover or recaptured funds from prior ROSS appropriations that may become available. The NOFA makes approximately $26.3 million available under the Department of Housing and Urban Development Appropriations Act 2009 (Public Law 111-8, approved March 11, 2009) to investigate allegations of housing discrimination and to educate the public and the housing industry about their rights and responsibilities under the Fair Housing Act.
