The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has submitted the following information collection to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) for review and clearance in accordance with the requirements of the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995. The submission describes the nature of the information collection, the categories of respondents, the estimated burden (i.e., the time, effort and resources used by respondents to respond) and cost, and includes the actual data collection instruments FEMA will use. Title: FEMA Public Assistance Program Evaluation and Customer Satisfaction Survey. OMB Number: 1660-NW32. Abstract: The purpose of the proposed survey is to measure FEMA's Public Assistance (PA) program performances and achievements against customer service standards of Executive Order 12862 of September 11, 1993, as well as Government Performance and Results Act of 1993 (GPRA) objectivities. Survey results are used to gauge satisfaction levels of PA customers, and make improvements to disaster services that focus on customer satisfaction and program effectiveness. Affected Public: Business or other for-profit; Not-for-profit institutions; Farms; Federal Government; and State, local or tribal Governments. Number of Respondents: 2,500 for survey; 20 for focus group.* Estimated Time per Respondent: 0.3 hours per survey; 6 hours per focus group.* Estimated Total Annual Time Burden: 870 hours.* Annual Frequency of Response: 1.

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), as part of its continuing effort to reduce paperwork and respondent burden, invites the general public and other Federal agencies to take this opportunity to comment on a proposed continuing information collection. In accordance with the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995, this notice seeks comments concerning the adequacy of two forms FEMA uses to gather certain information about the floodplain management activities of communities that participate in the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP). The forms are used to gather information about a community's floodplain management regulations, administrative and enforcement procedures, flood insurance studies, and basic information pertaining to names, addresses, and phone numbers of individuals responsible for a community's floodplain management program.

Suspension of Community Eligibility

This rule identifies communities, where the sale of flood insurance has been authorized under the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP), that are scheduled for suspension on the effective dates listed within this rule because of noncompliance with the floodplain management requirements of the program. If the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) receives documentation that the community has adopted the required floodplain management measures prior to the effective suspension date given in this rule, the suspension will not occur and a notice of this will be provided by publication in the Federal Register on a subsequent date.
