The submission describes the nature of the information collection, the categories of respondents, the estimated burden (i.e., the time, effort and resources used by respondents to respond) and cost, and includes the actual data collection instruments FEMA will use. Title: Disaster Assistance Registration. OMB Number: 1660-0002. Abstract: Disaster Assistance Registration is a program used to provide financial assistance and, if necessary, direct assistance to eligible individuals and households who, as a direct result of a major disaster or emergency, have uninsured or under-insured, necessary expenses and serious needs and are unable to meet such expenses or needs through other financial means. Affected Public: Individuals and households, Business or other for- profit, Not-for-profit institutions, Farms, Federal Government, and State, Local or Tribal Government. Number of Respondents: 1,718,291. Estimated Time per Respondent: 40 minutes. Estimated Total Annual Burden Hours: 394,760. Frequency of Response: On occasion.
