The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has submitted the following information collection to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) for review and clearance in accordance with the requirements of the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995. The submission describes the nature of the information collection, the categories of respondents, the estimated burden (i.e., the time, effort and resources used by respondents to respond) and cost, and includes the actual data collection instruments FEMA will use. Title: Reimbursement for Cost of Fighting Fire on Federal Property. OMB Number: 1660-0014. Abstract: The \1\ Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Director; the Administrator of the United States Fire Administration (USFA); and the United States Treasury will use the information to ensure proper expenditure of Federal funds. Once a claim is received, a copy of FEMA determination and the claim is forwarded to the Treasury Department. The Treasury Department will pay for fire services or its parent jurisdiction for any moneys in the treasurer subject to reimbursement, to the Federal department or agency under whose jurisdiction the fire occurred.

Abstract: This survey will collect information on flood insurance purchasing patterns among property owners in communities with high densities of disaster recipients. Data findings will be used to develop strategies to improve compliance with flood insurance regulations. Affected Public: Individuals and Households. Number of Respondents: 1,200. Estimated Time per Respondent: 20 minutes or .33 hour. Estimated Total Annual Burden Hours: 400 hours. Frequency of Response: One-time only. NEPA Alternative Arrangements for Critical Physical Infrastructure in New Orleans

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the Council on Environmental Quality (CEQ) have established Alternative Arrangements to meet the requirements of the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and the CEQ Regulations for Implementing the Procedural Requirements of NEPA (CEQ Regulations) for FEMA Grants to Reconstruct Critical Infrastructure in the New Orleans Metropolitan Area. These Alternative Arrangements are designed to enable timely action on the expected large number of grant applications to restore safe and healthful living conditions in the New Orleans Metropolitan Area (NOMA). These alternative arrangements will enable FEMA, as a component of DHS, to consider the potential for significant impacts to the human environment from its approval to fund the reconstruction of critical physical infrastructure in NOMA through its grant programs.

If FEMA receives documentation that the community has adopted the required floodplain management measures prior to the effective suspension date given in this rule, the suspension will not occur and a notice of this will be provided by publication in the Federal Register on a subsequent date.
