CFIVSAC meets at least once a year. It may also meet for extraordinary purposes. Its subcommittees and working groups may meet intersessionally to prepare for meetings or develop proposals for the committee as a whole to address specific problems. We will consider applications for six positions that expire or become vacant in October 2006 in the following categories: (a) Commercial Fishing Industry (four positions); (b) Naval Architect or Marine Surveyor (one position); (c) General Public (one position). Each member serves a 3-year term. Members may serve consecutive terms. All members serve at their own expense and receive no salary from the Federal Government, although travel reimbursement and per diem are provided. In support of the policy of the Department of Homeland Security on gender and ethnic diversity, we encourage qualified women and members of minority groups to apply. SUMMARY: This notice amends the notice of a major disaster declaration 
for the State of California (FEMA-1628-DR), dated February 3, 2006, and 
related determinations.

DATES: Effective Date: February 23, 2006.

SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: The notice of a major disaster declaration
