Safety Zone; Chesapeake Bay, Approaches to Baltimore Harbor, MD
The Coast Guard is establishing a temporary safety zone for navigable waters within a 2,000-yard radius of the center span of the Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore, MD. The safety zone is needed to protect personnel, vessels, and the marine environment from potential hazards associated with salvage work on the bridge, which partially collapsed when it was hit by the M/V DALI, and on the M/V DALI itself. Entry of vessels or persons into this zone is prohibited unless specifically authorized by the Captain of the Port, Sector Maryland National Capital Region.

Safety Zone; Narragansett Bay, Newport, RI
The Coast Guard is establishing a temporary safety zone for certain waters of the East Passage, Narragansett Bay, RI. This action is necessary to provide for the safety of life on these navigable waters near East Passage, Narragansett Bay, RI, during a sailboat race. Entry of vessels or persons into this zone is prohibited unless specifically authorized by the Captain of the Port Sector Southeastern New England or a designated representative.
Safety Zone; Washington Channel, Upper Potomac River, Washington, DC
The Coast Guard will enforce a safety zone for a fireworks display at "The Wharf DC," in Washington, DC, on June 14, 2024, with a rain date of June 19, 2024, to provide for the safety of life on navigable waterways during this event. Our regulations identify the precise location. During the enforcement period, vessels may not enter, remain in, or transit through the safety zone unless authorized to do so by the Captain of the Port (COTP) or his representative, and vessels in the vicinity must comply with directions from the Patrol Commander or any Official Patrol displaying a Coast Guard ensign.
