Safety Zone; Coast Guard Island, Alameda, CA
The Coast Guard is establishing a temporary safety zone for all waters of the Alameda Estuary, from surface to bottom, within 250 feet of the pier along the southwest side of Coast Guard Island in support of a munitions transfer on February 20, 2022. The safety zone is necessary to protect personnel, vessels, and the marine environment from the dangers associated with live munitions. Entry of vessels or persons into this zone is prohibited unless specifically authorized by the Captain of the Port San Francisco.
