Determination Pursuant to Section 102 of the Illegal Immigration Reform and Immigrant Responsibility Act of 1996, as Amended
The Acting Secretary of Homeland Security has determined, pursuant to law, that it is necessary to waive certain laws, regulations, and other legal requirements in order to ensure the expeditious construction of barriers and roads in the vicinity of the international land border in Starr County, Texas.
Exemption To Extend the Expiration Date of Certain Transportation Worker Identification Credentials
TSA is granting a temporary exemption from requirements in 49 CFR part 1572 regarding the expiration of certain Transportation Worker Identification Credentials (TWIC[supreg]s). For the duration of this exemption, TSA will extend the expiration date of TWIC[supreg]s that expired on or after March 1, 2020, by 180 days.
