Public Health Service Act, Non-competitive Replacement Award
The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) is issuing a non-competitive replacement award under the Telehealth Resource Center Grant Program (TRCGP) to the California Telehealth Network in order to continue advancement of the effective use of telehealth technology that will facilitate the provision of health care services to rural, medically-underserved California residents.
Recruitment of Sites for Assignment of National Health Service Corps Loan Repayors (FY 2012)
The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) announces that the proposed list of the Health Professional Shortage Areas (HPSAs) and entities that would receive priority in applying for the assignment of National Health Service Corps (NHSC) Loan Repayors (Corps personnel, Corps members) during the period November 1, 2011, through September 30, 2012 is posted on the NHSC Web site at https:// datawarehouse.hrsa.gov/HGDWReports/ OneClickRptFilter.aspx?rptName=NHSCAppSiteList&rptFormat=HTML 3.2. This database can be searched by State and will show the entities that have been approved by the NHSC for the assignment of NHSC Loan Repayment Program (LRP) participants serving as Corps members (i.e. Federal employees or Private Practice Assignees), as well as NHSC LRP participants wishing to exercise the Private Practice Option (PPO).
Health Information Technology Implementation
The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) will be transferring the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) (section 330 of the Public Health Service Act) Health Information Technology Implementation for Health Center Controlled Networks (HCCN) funds originally awarded to Community Health Network, Inc. (CHN), to the Tennessee Primary Care Association (TPCA) to ensure the implementation of a Health Center Controlled Network in the State of Tennessee.
Criteria for Determining Priorities Among Correctional Facility Health Professional Shortage Areas
In accordance with the requirements of section 333A(b)(1) of the Public Health Service (PHS) Act, as amended by the Health Care Safety Net Amendments of 2002, 42 U.S.C. 254f-1(b)(1), the Secretary of HHS shall establish the criteria which she will use to make determinations under section 333A(a)(1)(A) of the health professional shortage areas (HPSAs) with the greatest shortages. This notice sets forth revised criteria for determining correctional facility HPSA scores.
