Availability of Final Toxicological Profiles
This notice announces the availability of one new and six updated final toxicological profiles of priority hazardous substances comprising the twenty-first set prepared by ATSDR.
Availability of Draft Toxicological Profiles
This notice announces the availability of the Toxicological Profile for Toxaphene (Update) and the Toxicological Profile for Trichlorobenzenes for review and comment. We are seeking public comments for review and potential inclusion in the profiles. These comments can include additional information or reports on studies about the health effects of toxaphene and trichlorobenzenes. ATSDR remains committed to providing a public comment period for these documents to best serve public health and our clients. The Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act of 1980 (CERCLA), as amended by the Superfund Amendments and Reauthorization Act of 1986 (SARA), section 104(i)(3), [42 U.S.C. 9604(i)(3)], directs the ATSDR administrator to prepare toxicological profiles of priority hazardous substances and, as necessary, to revise and publish each updated toxicological profile.
Development of Set 24 Toxicological Profiles
The Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry (ATSDR) of the Department of Health and Human Services is developing Set 24 Toxicological Profiles. Set 24 Toxicological Profiles consists of one new draft and one updated draft. Electronic access to these documents will be available at the ATSDR Web site: https://www.atsdr.cdc.gov/ toxpro2.html.
Availability of Draft Toxicological Profile
This notice announces, for review and comment, the availability of one new draft toxicological profile on unregulated hazardous substances that was prepared for the Department of Defense (DOD). All toxicological profiles issued as ``Drafts for Public Comment'' represent ATSDR's best efforts to provide important toxicological information on priority hazardous substances. We are seeking public comments and additional information or reports on studies about the health effects of royal demolition explosive (RDX), chemical name hexahydro-1,3,5-trinitro-1,3,5-triazine, also known as cyclonite, for review and potential inclusion in the profile. ATSDR remains committed to providing a public comment period for these documents as a means to best serve public health and our stakeholders.
Proposed Substances To Be Evaluated for Set 24 Toxicological Profiles
This notice announces the list of proposed substances that will be evaluated for Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act of 1980 (CERCLA) Set 24 toxicological profile development. ATSDR's Division of Toxicology and Environmental Medicine is soliciting public comments on the list of proposed substances to be evaluated for toxicological profile development. ATSDR also will consider the nomination of any additional, substances, not on this list, that may have public health implications.
