National Cybersecurity Center of Excellence (NCCoE) Responding to and Recovering From a Cyberattack: Cybersecurity for the Manufacturing Sector
The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) invites organizations to provide letters of interest describing products and technical expertise to support and demonstrate security platforms for the Responding to and Recovering from a Cyberattack: Cybersecurity for the Manufacturing Sector project. This notice is the initial step for the National Cybersecurity Center of Excellence (NCCoE) in collaborating with technology companies to address cybersecurity challenges identified under the Responding to and Recovering from a Cyberattack: Cybersecurity for the Manufacturing Sector project. Participation in the project is open to all interested organizations.
National Conference on Weights and Measures 2023 Interim Meeting
The 2023 Interim Meeting of the National Conference on Weights and Measures (NCWM) will be held in-person at the Hyatt Regency Savannah in Savannah, Georgia from Sunday, January 8 through Wednesday, January 11, 2023. This notice contains information about significant items on the NCWM Committee agendas but does not include all agenda items. As a result, the items are not consecutively numbered.
Advisory Committee on Earthquake Hazards Reduction Meeting
The Advisory Committee on Earthquake Hazards Reduction (ACEHR or Committee) will hold an open meeting on Wednesday, February 8, 2023, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Mountain Time and Thursday, February 9, 2023, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Mountain Time. The primary purpose of this meeting is for the Committee to review the latest activities of the National Earthquake Hazards Reduction Program (NEHRP) and to discuss the Committee's 2023 Biennial Report on the Effectiveness of NEHRP. : National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST)'s Visiting Committee on Advanced Technology (VCAT or Committee) will meet on Wednesday, February 8, 2023, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time, and Thursday, February 9, 2023, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Eastern Time.
NIST Safety Commission
The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Safety Commission (Commission) will meet on January 4, 2023, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time and January 5, 2023, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time. The purpose of this meeting is for the Commission to begin its assessment of the state of NIST's safety culture and how effectively the existing safety protocols and policies have been implemented across NIST. The Internet of Things (IoT) Advisory Board will meet Wednesday, January 18, 2023, and Thursday, January 19, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., Eastern Time. All sessions will be open to the public.
Announcing Establishment of the NIST Safety Commission
The NIST Safety Commission (Commission) has been established as a discretionary advisory committee under agency authority in accordance with the provisions of FACA. It has been determined that the establishment of the Commission is necessary and in the public interest.
Industrial Advisory Committee
The Industrial Advisory Committee (Committee) will hold an open meeting in-person and via web conference on Thursday, December 8, 2022, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Eastern Time. The primary purposes of this meeting are to update the Committee on the progress of the Creating Helpful Incentives to Produce Semiconductors (CHIPS) Research & Development (R&D) Programs, receive updates from the Committee working groups, and allow the Committee to deliberate and discuss the progress that has been made. Manufacturing USA Semiconductor Institutes; Extension of Comment Period
The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) is extending the period for submitting comments relating to potential Manufacturing USA semiconductor institutes until December 12, 2022. In a Request for Information (RFI) that published in the Federal Register on October 13, 2022, NIST requested information to inform the design of, and requirements for, potential Manufacturing USA institutes to strengthen the semiconductor and microelectronics innovation ecosystem, which could include design, fabrication, advanced test, assembly, and packaging capability. Responses to the RFI will inform NIST's development of funding opportunities for federal assistance to establish Manufacturing USA semiconductor institutes.
