Advisory Committee on Earthquake Hazards Reduction Meeting
The Advisory Committee on Earthquake Hazards Reduction (ACEHR or Committee), will hold a meeting via teleconference on Tuesday, December 20, 2011 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Eastern Time. The primary purpose of this meeting is to develop an outline for the Committee's draft annual report to the NIST Director. Any draft meeting materials will be posted on the NEHRP Web site at https://nehrp.gov/. National Construction Safety Team Advisory Committee Meeting
The National Construction Safety Team (NCST) Advisory Committee (Committee), will hold a meeting via teleconference on Wednesday, December 21, 2011 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Eastern Time. The primary purpose of this meeting is to discuss the NCST Advisory Committee's draft annual report to Congress. Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award Board of Overseers
The Board of Overseers of the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award (Board of Overseers) will meet in open session on December 13, 2011. The purpose of this meeting is to discuss and review information received from the National Institute of Standards and Technology and from the Chair of the Judges Panel of the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award. The agenda will include: Report from the Judges' Panel, Baldrige Performance Excellence Program (BPEP) Update, Baldrige Fellows Program Status Report, Baldrige Program Changes in 2011, and Recommendations for the NIST Director.
Technology Innovation Program Advisory Board
The Technology Innovation Program (TIP) Advisory Board will hold a meeting via teleconference on Tuesday, December 6, 2011, from 10 a.m. to 12 noon, Eastern time. The primary purpose of this meeting is to discuss the future of TIP. Smart Grid Advisory Committee
The Smart Grid Advisory Committee (SGAC or Committee), will hold a meeting on Tuesday, November 29, 2011 from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. The primary purpose of this meeting is to discuss the Committee's preliminary recommendations to be included in the Committee's report to NIST. The preliminary recommendations that the Committee will consider at the meeting will be posted on the SGAC Web site at https:// www.nist.gov/smartgrid. The agenda may change to accommodate Committee business. The final agenda will be posted on the Smart Grid Web site at https://www.nist.gov/smartgrid.
National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Proposes To Revise Codes and Standards
The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) is publishing this notice on behalf of the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) to announce the NFPA's proposal to revise some of its fire safety codes and standards and requests proposals from the public to amend existing or begin the process of developing new NFPA fire safety codes and standards. The purpose of this request is to increase public participation in the system used by NFPA to develop its codes and standards.

The Department of Commerce's National Institute of Standards and Technology announces that the closing deadline for submission of comments responsive to the September 21, 2011, request for information on the requirements of, and possible approaches to, creating a voluntary industry code of conduct to address the detection, notification and mitigation of botnets, has been extended until 5 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST) on November 14, 2011. Comments received between November 4, 2011, the due date for comments announced in the September 21, 2011 notice, and publication of this notice in the Federal Register, are deemed to be timely.
Request for Comments on NIST Special Publication 500-293, US Government Cloud Computing Technology Roadmap, Release 1.0 (Draft)
The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) publishes this notice to seek public comments on the first draft of Special Publication 500-293, US Government Cloud Computing Technology Roadmap, Release 1.0 (Draft). This document is intended to be the mechanism to define and communicate interoperability, portability, and security requirement priorities that must be met in terms of standards, guidance and technology for U.S. Government (USG) agencies to accelerate their adoption of cloud computing. The roadmap has been developed through a transparent working group process, which included five NIST Cloud Computing Working Groups that were established in November 2010.
