Final Results of Countervailing Duty Administrative Review: Corrosion-Resistant Carbon Steel Flat Products from the Republic of Korea
On September 11, 2006, the U.S. Department of Commerce (``the Department'') published in the Federal Register its preliminary results of the administrative review of the countervailing duty (CVD) order on corrosion-resistant carbon steel flat products (i.e., corrosion- resistant carbon steel plate) from the Republic of Korea (Korea) for the period of review (POR) January 1, 2004, through December 31, 2004. See Preliminary Results of Countervailing Duty Administrative Review: Corrosion-Resistant Carbon Steel Flat Products from the Republic of Korea, 71 FR 53413 (September 11, 2006) (``Preliminary Results''). We preliminarily found that Pohang Iron and Steel Co. Ltd. (POSCO) and Dongbu Steel Co., Ltd. (Dongbu) received de minimis countervailable subsidies during the POR. We did not receive any comments on our preliminary results, and we have made no revisions.
Initiation of Five-year (“Sunset”) Reviews
In accordance with section 751(c) of the Tariff Act of 1930, as amended (``the Act''), the Department of Commerce (``the Department'') is automatically initiating a five-year (``Sunset Review'') of the antidumping and countervailing duty orders listed below. The International Trade Commission (``the Commission'') is publishing concurrently with this notice its notice of Institution of Five-year Review which covers this same order.
