Census Scientific Advisory Committee
The Census Bureau is giving notice of a virtual meeting of the Census Scientific Advisory Committee (CSAC). The Committee will address policy, research, and technical issues relating to a full range of Census Bureau programs and activities, including decennial, economic, field operations, information technology, and statistics. Last minute changes to the schedule are possible, which could prevent giving advance public notice of schedule adjustments. The Department of Commerce, in accordance with the Paperwork Reduction Act (PRA) of 1995, invites the general public and other Federal agencies to comment on proposed, and continuing information collections, which helps us assess the impact of our information collection requirements and minimize the public's reporting burden. The purpose of this notice is to allow for 60 days of public comment on the proposed revision of the Current Population Survey, School Enrollment Supplement, prior to the submission of the information collection request (ICR) to OMB for approval.
National Advisory Committee
The Census Bureau is giving notice of a virtual meeting of the National Advisory Committee (NAC). The Committee will address strategies for communicating the use of differential privacy for the 2020 Census data products. Additionally, the Committee will provide recommendations for messaging and communication strategies for information data users, of all skill levels, about what differential privacy is, the data protection it provides, the privacy/accuracy tradeoff, and the strengths and limitations of the 2020 Census data products.
