Fisheries of the Northeastern United States; Summer Flounder Fishery; Quota Transfer
NMFS announces that the States of North Carolina and Maine and the Commonwealth of Virginia are transferring portions of their 2015 commercial summer flounder quotas to the State of Connecticut. These quota adjustments are necessary to comply with the Summer Flounder, Scup and Black Sea Bass Fishery Management Plan quota transfer provision. This announcement informs the public of the revised commercial quota for each state involved.
Visiting Committee on Advanced Technology
The Visiting Committee on Advanced Technology (VCAT or Committee), National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), will meet in an open session on Wednesday, February 3, 2016 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. Eastern Time and Thursday, February 4, 2016 from 8:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Eastern Time. The VCAT is composed of fifteen members appointed by the NIST Director who are eminent in such fields as business, research, new product development, engineering, labor, education, management consulting, environment, and international relations.
