Hispanic-Serving Agricultural Colleges and Universities (HSACU) Certification Process
This amendment to NIFA regulations updates the list of institutions that are granted Hispanic-Serving Agricultural Colleges and Universities (HSACU) certification by the Secretary and are eligible for HSACU programs for the period starting October 1, 2018, and ending September 30, 2019.
Notice of Availability of an Environmental Assessment; Importation of Plants in Approved Growing Media Into the United States
We are reopening the comment period for our draft programmatic environmental assessment for the importation of plants in approved growing media, which considers the potential environmental effects of a standardized set of pest risk mitigations for routine market requests to import plants in approved growing media. This action will allow interested persons additional time to prepare and submit comments.
Proposed Posting, Posting, and De-posting of Stockyards
The Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS), USDA, is taking several actions to post and de-post stockyards under the Packers and Stockyards Act (P&S Act). Specifically, we are proposing that 10 stockyards now operating subject to the P&S Act be posted. We are also posting six stockyards that were identified previously as operating subject to the P&S Act and de-posting two stockyards that no longer meet the definition of a stockyard.
