The USDA, Forest Service, will prepare an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) to disclose the environmental effects of timber harvest, prescribed fire, and watershed rehabilitation in the Marten Creek project area on the Cabinet Ranger District of the Kootenai National Forest. The Marten Creek project area is located approximately 7 air miles northwest of Trout Creek, Montana, near the community of Trout Creek, Montana. Scoping Comment Date: Comments concerning the scope of the analysis should be postmarked or received by September 2, 2005.
