Notice of Availability of Regulatory Flexibility Act Section 610 Review of the Standard for the Flammability (Open Flame) of Mattress Sets
The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) is announcing the availability of a completed rule review under section 610 of the Regulatory Flexibility Act (RFA) for the Standard for the Flammability (Open Flame) of Mattress Sets (Mattress Standard), 16 CFR part 1633. This regulatory review concludes that the Mattress Standard should be maintained without change.\1\
Safety Standard for Portable Generators; Notice of Extension of Comment Period
The Consumer Product Safety Commission (Commission or CPSC) voted to publish a notice of proposed rulemaking (NPR) in the Federal Register on November 2, 2016, concerning portable generators. The NPR invited the public to submit written comments during a comment period that would close 75 days after the date of publication of the NPR in the Federal Register. In response to a request for an extension, the Commission is extending the comment period.
CPSC Litigation Guidance and Recommended Best Practices for Protective Orders and Settlement Agreements in Private Civil Litigation
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC or the Commission) is publishing this Litigation Guidance to provide recommendations for best practices to all parties in relevant litigation related to providing an exemption in protective orders and settlement agreements for reporting information to the CPSC.
