Semiannual Regulatory Agenda
In this document, the Commission publishes its semiannual regulatory flexibility agenda. In addition, this document includes an agenda of regulatory actions the Commission expects to be under development or review by the agency during the next year. This document meets the requirements of the Regulatory Flexibility Act and Executive Order 12866.
Semiannual Regulatory Agenda
The Bureau of Consumer Financial Protection (CFPB) is publishing this agenda as part of the Spring 2013 Unified Agenda of Federal Regulatory and Deregulatory Actions. The CFPB reasonably anticipates having the regulatory matters identified below under consideration during the period from May 1, 2013, to May 1, 2014. The next agenda will be published in the fall of 2013 and will update this agenda through the fall of 2014. Publication of this agenda is in accordance with the Regulatory Flexibility Act (5 U.S.C. 601 et seq.).
Submission for OMB Review; Comment Request- Follow-Up Activities for Product-Related Injuries
Pursuant to the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995 (44 U.S.C. Chapter 35), the Consumer Product Safety Commission (Commission or CPSC) announces that it has submitted to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) a request for extension of approval of a collection of information from persons who have been involved in or have witnessed incidents associated with consumer products.
Petition for Rulemaking To Eliminate Accessible Cords on Window Covering Products
The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC or Commission) received a petition requesting the Commission to: promulgate a mandatory standard that prohibits any window covering cords, when a feasible cordless alternative exists; and require that all window covering cords be made inaccessible through the use of a passive guardian device when a feasible cordless alternative does not exist. The Commission invites written comments concerning the petition.
Children's Products Containing Lead; Procedures and Requirements for Exclusions From Lead Limits Under Section 101(b) of the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act
The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC or Commission) is issuing this rule to amend its existing regulations pertaining to procedures and requirements for exclusions from lead limits under section 101(b) of the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act of 2008 (CPSIA) to reflect statutory changes mandated by Public Law 112-28.
Submission for OMB Review; Comment Request-Virginia Graeme Baker Pool and Spa Safety Act; Compliance Form
In the Federal Register of April 19, 2013 (76 FR 23546), the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC or Commission) published a notice in accordance with provisions of the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995 (44 U.S.C. Chapter 35), to announce the CPSC's intention to seek extension of an approval regarding a form used to verify whether pools and spas are in compliance with the Virginia Graeme Baker Pool and Spa Safety Act. No comments were received in response to that notice. Therefore, by publication of this notice, the Commission announces that it has submitted to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB), a request for extension of approval of those collections of information, without change.

In the Federal Register of April 19, 2013 (76 FR 23545), the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC or Commission) published a notice in accordance with provisions of the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995 (44 U.S.C. Chapter 35), to announce the CPSC's intention to seek extension of an approval of information collection regarding a form used to evaluate whether third party conformity assessment bodies meet the requirements to test for compliance to specified children's product safety rules. No comments were received in response to that notice. Therefore, by publication of this notice, the Commission announces that it has submitted to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB), a request for extension of approval of those collections of information, without change.
Submission for OMB Review; Comment Request-Recordkeeping Requirements Under the Safety Standard for Infant Walkers
In the Federal Register of April 19, 2013 (76 FR 23544), the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC or Commission) published a notice in accordance with provisions of the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995 (44 U.S.C. Chapter 35), to announce the CPSC's intention to seek extension of an approval of information collection for the recordkeeping requirements in the safety standard for infant walkers, 16 CFR part 1216. No comments were received in response to that notice. Therefore, by publication of this notice, the Commission announces that it has submitted to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) a request for extension of approval of those collections of information, without change.
